Matariki Collection – Piataata & Hiwa

The Matariki Collection celebrates the brilliance and promise of the stars, inspired by the sacred constellation that signals new beginnings, reflection, and legacy. These two designs honour different stars of Matariki while carrying the aroha and aspirations of our whānau.

Piataata – The Shining Stars

Named after our daughter, Piataata, who was born beneath the Matariki constellation, this design reflects the waiata “ngā whetū e piataata” — the stars that shine brightly.

• Design: All-black feathers symbolising the night sky, with a luminous metallic tāniko band.

• Options: Black & Gold (prosperity), Black & Silver (clarity), Black & Pāua Blue (ocean connection), Black & Black Sand (strength).

• Meaning: A cloak of celebration and brilliance, embodying legacy and the light of Matariki’s stars.

Hiwa – The Wishing Star

Inspired by Hiwa-i-te-rangi, the star where hopes and wishes are set for the year ahead. Hiwa represents aspiration, growth, and the courage to dream.

• Design: Pure white feathers paired with a bold white tāniko band and shimmering metallic accents.

• Options: White & Gold (abundance), White & Silver (guidance), White & Pāua Blue (resilience), White & Night Sky (grounding).

• Meaning: A cloak of intention and possibility, reminding us to look to the stars as we set our dreams into motion.
