The Rangatira Red Children's Contemporary Korowai is handcrafted in our West Auckland studio and created to celebrate the milestones that shape a child's journey.

Inspired by the qualities of a rangatira, this design represents kindness, courage and confidence. Whether worn for a birthday, graduation, kapa haka, a cultural celebration or another special occasion, Rangatira Red is designed to become a treasured part of your child's story.

Available in Baby (0–12 months), Toddler (1–5 years) and Kids (6–12 years), our children's korowai are handcrafted in limited studio quantities using premium materials, making each piece unique.

From our studio to your whānau, this is more than a garment. It is a celebration of courage, belonging and the bright future that lies ahead.

Materials

The materials used and sourced for our contemporary designs are as follows:

Lining: Black polycotton blend

Feathers: Our contemporary korowai designs include a variety of colored craft feathers for fashion industry clothing and costumes, particularly hen and rooster coque feathers.

Bands: Our contemporary korowai designs include machine made taniko bands made locally in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
